Dr. Kristin Kunimoto, DVM
Veterinarian
Kristin grew up in Honolulu and always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She worked kennel shifts in high school which solidified her goals to be an animal advocate and enrich the human-animal bond. Kristin attended a liberal arts college knowing she would be practicing medicine later in life.
She majored in Spanish Literature, lived in Spain and traveled through Europe during her junior year in college. She even brushed up on her people skills waitressing in Boston at a local pizzeria. Kristin attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and worked in state-of-the-art small animal practices in Colorado and San Diego before moving home to Honolulu. She and her husband always dreamed of owning their own practice and it became a reality in January 2010 with Animal Clinic of Honolulu. Kristin loves spending time with her family and Golden Retrievers Beau and Samson and her rescue Schnauzer mix Leia. She also loves traveling the world, all outdoor activities, relaxing on the beach, yoga, piano, playing bingo, and hula. She loves being a veterinarian and hopes to meet your wonderful companion soon!
